High-quality coating
Alphacool uses an advanced chromating process to apply the color to the brass connection. This process not only makes the color more uniform, but it is also significantly more durable and resistant to external influences. The small Alphacool logo is lasered in and not printed on, which means it cannot be removed by friction.
Triple seal
Tightness is essential for a water circuit, which is why Alphacool uses three sealing rings on these icicle connections to seal the HardTube. Two O-rings are integrated into the connection, while the third O-ring serves as a closure and is attached together with the HardTube. The connection is secured using the union nut, providing triple security and increasing the tensile strength of the HardTube. This ensures that a considerable amount of force is required to pull the HardTube out of the closed connection.
Assembly
The union nut is removed along with the O-ring inside. The connection is then screwed onto any component with a G1/4" thread. The union nut is first pushed onto the deburred HardTube that you want to insert into the fitting, and then the remaining O-ring is placed on. The entire setup is then pushed into the fitting as far as it will go. The final step is to screw the union nut onto the connection.
